K9
ALERT - On February 11, "Hambone," a gentle,
submissive pit bull mix, was stolen from outside the 7-11 store
at the corner of Cahuenga and Yucca in Hollywood. He was stolen
by two men driving a faded green work van with "W2" painted in
big black letters on the driver's side. Others in the area have
reported lost or stolen dogs as well. People have been asked to
come forward if they have seen this van; a $10,000 reward is
being offered for the safe return of Hambone.
Pet guardians need to be aware of this animal predator and that
their dog could be next. Each year, thousands of pets are stolen
in the Los Angeles area. This is an
"Amber Alert" for dogs and their guardians - a "K9 Alert!" LCA
would like to instantly galvanize the community to assist in the
search and safe recovery of a stolen companion animal by the use
of a "K9 Alert." Help Hambone find his way home, please contact
LCA if you have seen Hambone or the faded green work van with
"W2" painted on the side with big black letters.
