HOW TO BECOME AN EFFECTIVE ADVOCATE FOR ANIMALS

Learn the facts about animal issues - It is important to be informed, if someone asks a question and you don’t know the answer, just say so. Tell the person you will find out the answer and get back to them.

Remember these rules of conduct - Whether you are talking to others in person, making a telephone call, or writing a letter, practice the following:

Commit to specific action – Mavis Frye, one of our Star Seniors, tries to write (by hand) two letters each day. We commend her! You may not have the time to write this much, but how about two letters a week, or per month. Set a goal for yourself and stick with it.
