CAMPAIGNS MANAGER
Last Chance for Animals (LCA), a national non-profit animal advocacy organization based in Los Angeles, seeks Campaigns Manager. This position strives to bring real changes for animals through public education and outreach. The Campaigns Manager is responsible for providing leadership and vision to develop, organize, implement, and manage the campaigns department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acquire detailed knowledge of LCA and understand its role in local and global community
- Initiate, plan, maintain and market campaigns
- Research, plan, and execute legislative initiatives
- Liaison with public relations, other organizations, community leaders, politicians, etc
- Create and disseminate email alerts soliciting supporters to take action
- Plan and coordinate events and demonstrations
- Produce campaign materials e.g. brochures, posters, action kits, newsletters
- Respond to public information requests
- Manage social media and website content for the organization
- Direct and supervise assistants, interns and volunteers
Requirements:
- 4 year degree
- 3+ years experience in planning, marketing and coordinating projects/campaigns
- Proven self starter, not afraid of hard work, able to meet deadlines and get results
- Capable of taking direction and working well with others
- Critical thinker with excellent written and oral communication skills
- Well-organized and able to multitask in a demanding environment
- Flexible to project needs requiring occasional night and weekend work
- Familiarity with website technology such as Joomla preferred

INVESTIGATOR
Last Chance for Animals is looking for an undercover investigator to conduct short and long term undercover investigations from beginning to end. This may include visiting or obtaining employment in various industries that use animals. This is a full time, salaried position with benefits.
Job Description:
- Research, plan and initiate investigations
- Provide detailed investigative reports
- Work closely with campaigns department
- Liaison with law enforcement and government officials
- Be willing to travel and work long periods of time undercover, involving weekends
Qualifications:
- Proven self starter with experience in animal protection investigations
- Dependable and hardworking
- Self motivated and detail oriented
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
- Able to juggle multiple tasks
- Dedicated to the goals of the organization
- Must have reliable vehicle, cell phone and own credit card (will be reimbursed expenses)
- Strong knowledge of investigations and undercover surveillance equipment required
- Proficient in Word, Outlook and the Internet
